FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Pipeline Wireless' service Wi-Fi?
Pipeline delivers a fixed wireless Internet service that performs similar to fiber and guarantees the quality of the service through its premium SLA.  Pipeline Wireless does not offer a Wi-Fi or “best-effort” service.

Is Pipeline Wireless' service a good redundant solution?
Pipeline offers the best redundant solution available.  Pipeline bypasses the telephone company’s “local loop” or central office; your connection leaves your building and goes directly to the Internet avoiding any problems on the street or in the ground.

Is Pipeline Wireless’ service impacted by weather in any way?
All services are engineered to provide a minimum of 99.99% uptime in any weather.

What kind of customer service and service monitoring does Pipeline Wireless provide to its customers?
Pipeline monitors all systems and devices within the network, with alarms for any and all units via visual, e-mail and paging alerts, so that Pipeline Wireless can immediately begin to solve the problem.

How long will I have to wait to be connected to Pipeline Wireless' service?
Pipeline can usually install a new customer in 3 to 10 days depending on the customer's needs and their location. In an emergency situation, service can be installed in less than 24 hours.  Traditional Internet subscribers must often wait four to six weeks, sometimes longer, for high-speed Internet connectivity.

Can I change my Internet connection bandwidth?
Pipeline has engineered the network to allow for great flexibility.  Bandwidth can be changed depending on the type of provisioned circuit.  If the circuit allows, bandwidth can be turned up same day.

If DSL is not available in my building, can Pipeline Wireless still provide service?
Yes. Pipeline's technology bypasses all fiber, copper and cable services to the customer so we are not limited by existing landline infrastructure.

What are the differences between Pipeline's service and cable or DSL?
Cable's quality of service depends on the number of users on the network. A cable connection will slow down as the number of users on the network increases. Pipeline guarantees throughput to our customers. With Pipeline, you get what you pay for, all the time.
